Located in the New York's Meatpacking District, Jean Shop opened it's doors in April 2003 and has since become the insiders choice for premium selvage denim. Eric Goldstein, one of the three owners, does almost all of the washing, dyeing and finishing himself in the back of the store. Though known for their custom finishes and treatments, Jean Shop's real specialty has got to be their classic fits and the quality of their selvage denims. Despite his vast knowledge of fabrics and finishes, Mr. Goldstein stresses that raw, untreated denim is the way to go these days and encourages customers stuck in the age of excess to simply wear their jeans and let things happen naturally.
